The common trend I’ve been noticing, while speaking with my 2019 brides, is a majority of them want their skin to have that healthy, dewy glow for their wedding day.

I couldn’t be more excited for my brides to embrace the glowy trend, and ditch the all matte look for a nice change of pace. It allows me to stock my kit full of products that promise dimension, moisture and a youthful radiance that everyone wants to achieve.

Here are my top 5 perfect bridal glow-worthy products that I recommend for your wedding day!

It all starts with a good primer!

You want a glow that lasts all day, makes your foundation look great, and actually keeps your makeup in place all day long? The only primers that I trust to do all of the above is the Becca Priming Filter. I love that that this primer shade is suitable for any skin tone (the fairest to the deepest), plus the purple Backlight priming filter gives you glow and helps to reduce a dull or sallow complexion. They smell like a lemony-fresh dessert and look exquisite on the skin with just the right amount of luminous glow. No glitter finish or caking up into dry patches. Top notch primer (check)

Opt for a glowy blush!

Instead of wearing the staple matte cheek color, why not opt for a blush that has crushed up highlighter mixed into the formula?! Motives Cosmetics make some of my favorite pearlized and glow-worthy blushes on the market. I love how these blushes are manufactured from natural minerals such as Mica, are paraben, talc, gluten and cruelty free and won’t totally break the bank compared to their luxury equivalents. Check out the shades Lust, Dreamsicle or Porcelain Doll as they are my faves!

Highlight but don’t strobe!

Many makeup artists and photographers will tell you to skip the highlighter all together for wedding makeup, and for the most part I would have to agree. Highlighter can sometimes translate as oily when photographed or on film. The trick is finding a highlighter that gives you glow and not strobe. I really love the YoungBlood Cosmetics highlighter palette for that reason! The shades are a cream to powder finish so they absorb into the skin and glide over naturally for a smooth and even finish. You won’t look like you applied a disco ball onto the tops of your cheeks. Bonus= This brand is also a clean/green choice for anyone with skin sensitivities.

This finishing powder is my secret weapon!

The creme de la creme, always a must have finishing powder for that perfect lit from within glow, is the Hourglass Ambient Lighting Powders. These luxury powders are worth every penny and come in many varieties of different undertones that flatter most fair to medium skin types. The Hourglass line also has a variety of other glow worthy products infused with the ambient lighting formula including their blushes, highlighters, and bronzers. I love to apply these powders to my clients with a large fluffy duo fiber brush for the most even finish. Want to try multiple shades? Check out their ambient lighting palette or wait till the holidays to swipe up their limited edition palettes full of a variety of face powders to try!

A pucker up glow!

I love using lip products that have dimension and give your lips a youthful glow and switch it up from the traditional matte finish. One of my favorite lip products to use for an all day wear is the Senegence International Lipsense lipstick in Beige Champagne. This shade paired with any of the Senegence glosses looks incredible. The glow gives your lips a lot of dimension, looks very much like your lips but better for many light to medium skin tones, and makes for a great everyday warm nude lip color after the wedding day (who doesn’t love getting all the mileage possible out of a product?). Don’t like the warm nude tone? Try Pink Champagne for that perfect, pinky-glow finish!
